Lost/Stolen 116500LN

I'm pretty distraught here, either lost my new Daytona or it went to the dry cleaner in my shirt pocket. The dry cleaner denies having seen it (I believe them), but cannot find the watch in my house. It's possible that it's been stolen but seems unlikely.

Any advice is appreciated: does the Watch Register work? I have already called both jewelry stores in my town and the police in case someone tries to sell it. At a loss and feeling powerless.

Oh no. I'm sorry to hear that....

I tend to misplace things like my wallet and phone all the time. Try to remember the last time you saw it... Also, try to follow all the places that you would go to... bedroom, work place? gym? friend's house? etc. Check the car under the seat? between the seat? etc.... garage? again, check everywhere!

Good luck.

Make sure you file a police report with the serial number in the case. Also, report it to Rolex office.

the watch registry works if it ever makes it to a RSC or authorized retailer.

I hope you find it!

Thanks, I hope so too. The Serial # is 113548, for reference. I guess I will keep an eye on Ebay, etc. If anyone comes across it I will be forever grateful.

I think the Serial # is missing a few digits/letters, should be eight with at least one letter.

Tear the car apart also, under and in between seats. I had a separate amendment on my homeowners ins. to cover the sub for damage/loss. Basic policies usually won't cover it, but they'll all cover $10,000 on silverware

Try to retrace your steps and your normal habits. Where and why do you normally remove your watch? Maybe you got distracted when you were removing it and placed it somewhere other than where you normally do. Best of luck finding it.

Sorry to hear about this OP. Question, why would your Daytona end up in your shirt pocket? As other said, search everywhere and best of luck.

My shirts hang on a rack in the walk in closet above a counter where I keep odds and ends: humidor, cigar boxes, stuff from my pockets when I return from a trip, so I got in the habit of putting the watch in the front pocket of a dress shirt so as to avoid scratches.

Oh my sorry to hear that, I just got my dayC several weeks ago, can’t imagine if I lost it *knock on wood

On the other note, I purchased this leather tray that I put on top of my dresser/side board. Always put my wedding ring and watch there so it’s always on sight and it’s already become a habit to leave them there.

Thanks all: does anyone have experience with the Watch Register? Do they cross-check with Rolex or ADs, or how does it work?

Search that car with extreme prejudice! Best of luck - keep us posted.
I’m in Dorset several times a year - great town.

Sorry to hear about your (hopefully) misplaced watch.

Even though it's great that you have it insured so you'd be covered for replacement, I'm guessing it wouldn't be able to be replaced by any AD in the relatively near future?

Also, be sure to check your insurance policy whether you have a Personal Articles Policy or if it's just covered under your Homeowner's/Condo/Renter's Policy. The loss may be subject to your deductible and it would count as a claim against your policy. A Personal Articles Policy is typically more forgiving with a claim as opposed to filing under your Homeowner's Insurance.

Good luck in your search! I hope you find it.

Glad you are insured. Most are not including myself.

Sit down. Attempt to relax and retrace your steps. If its gone then hey worse could have happened. Just a watch after all. YOU LIVE AND WELL

Hey probably a stupid question, what’s the dial color?

Also, if you feel comfortable maybe you can give the location of where the watch was last seen or closest major city. Might be helpful in Craigslist, Facebook, etc. hopefullly the rascal is dumb.

This is the prime reason why I have insured my Daytona for replacement value instead of purchase price. Then it can be replaced immediately instead of 12 months or more if something happens to it...

Homeowners insurance will cover it. Years and years ago I lost my yachtmaster at the lake. Homeowners covered the cost.

Sorry to hear that man.
