New SS Daytona but with WG Dial?

I just wondered how a guy can be selling a 'new' Daytona in stainless steel, but with the arabic dial found only on the white gold Daytona

http://cgi.ebay.com/ROLEX-STEEL-DAYT...3A1|240%3A1318

Surely there must be more than meets the eye to this item??????????

...he states...

...in the listing, "This Daytona comes with a Dial from a Rolex White Gold Model 116509." For whatever reason, the seller has swapped out the dials.

Stan.

They probably swapped the dial so if someone sees your Rolex "bling" they'll think you're wearing a white gold Daytona. Isn't that special.

Only if they don't notice the different numbers and font on the bezel! I must say, the dial change sure makes the watch easier to read. I think he's unlikely to get his asking price for the watch.
