Russell Crowe's watches for sale

Pretty cool to know how he came about to buying these pieces and the movies he was working on back then, like Gladiator and Master & Commander.

https://youtu.be/xc2G6GaG-4I

Selling his Yacht-Master platinum dial and his YG Daytona among others.

Pro tip: speed up the vid to 1.5x speed. RC speaks incredibly slow.

Thanks, I didn't even know that was an option.

Interesting to know he's a watch guy even if we don't share the exact same taste.

I do enjoy his work on screen though (The Nice Guys, Gladiator, A Beautiful Mind, and The Insider come to mind)

As far as being a jerk I've never met him. I suppose some of the stories of him being rude at times may be true. Then again I suspect many fans think they're entitled to bother you at dinner, at the pub, or with your kids in the park because they paid to see your movie.

So I guess you won't be interviewing him for a Q&A article here on TRF?

Nice video. This whole auction plays right into his personality. He's a no nonsense f-it I own too much crap, move on guy, which I like.

Also nice that there's people who buy from AD's for special occasions based on a watch speaking to them at the moment. You can tell he's no WIS, but that's part of his charm.

As opposed to the wis' who buy on classifieds and eBay.

This is true. He shot “beautiful mind” in my town and the site was by a school.

May I know your point Sir?Are you blaming poor R.C for the choosing the site? The filming spot for any movie is first chosen by the location scout. The final approval and decision are made by the location manager and director

I interpreted his post as saying when RC was in his town he acted like a big movie star rather than getting humble with the towns' people... I don't think it had anything to do with quality of the set selection.

Seems pretty sad, but interesting video to watch, thanks for sharing.

Sorry I didn’t get to finish my point and accidentally hit post. But yes, while filming kids and their moms wanted photos with him. Rather than humbly declining he was rude and said “I don’t wanna take pictures with these fu*cking kids”... not cool.

Maybe he was in character.

Lucky they didn’t approach him during Gladiator or some kids and moms would be in the bottom of a well.

I would be very disappointed, if this were true.
Is this FACT, or just 'hearsay'........probably called Fakenews, these days?
Could be true, I suppose. We all have our off-days, don't we?
Hi IS a 'Kiwi' after all!
'Fans' can be pretty obnoxious too.

"Strength and Honour"

Master and Commander is a wonderful movie, if you haven't seen it, give it a go.
It's one of those films that seem 'better', second time of viewing.

Curious how casually he buys watches.

Movie star money, I guess.

He has a wide variety of watches, but not sure I would have bought most of those models....although maybe 1 or 2 of those Rolex i.e. Daytona and YM

I did like Gladiator, I thought he played that role well.

Heathens all. RC rightly deserved an Oscar for his brilliant performance on South Park with Tugger as best supporting. Impressive collection on the block but with that kind of passion you know he is keeping his best back.
