My new solid link bracelet is squeaky.
So I have been wearing my SD43 a lot lately, and I notice that my bracelet is squeaky. This is kind of a new thing for me as none of my other Rolex bracelet has that problem, including my sd4k which also has a solid link oyster ss bracelet. Has anyone had this problem. Any solutions that doesn't make the watch "greasy" such as oil / w40 etc...

Enjoy it while it lasts, you'll miss it when it stops, which it will do very shortly!

Yep, mine does the same thing and after 4 weeks it has nearly disappeared. Consider it like "new car smell"

Don't do that. Oils will attract dirt and grime. As others have said, it will go away on its own. But if it really bugs you, you can wash it with a little dishwashing detergent. Just rinse it well.

Just the water between the links will give it a bit of lubrication to stop the squeaky sound. It's a good excuse to give the watch a little bit of a bath anyway. |

I didn't like the squeaky sound on the SD 43 (as any squeaky sound in my car really bothers me) so I went back to my AD and asked them to fix it. After 3 minutes the sound disappeared.

I wash it with dishwasher soap (just the plain green one with no further additions) It makes it bling and it also moistures the bracelet.

The old Rolex squeak. It’s normal on a new watch. Tight tolerances are what cause it.
It will stop of it’s own accord. Enjoy. |

Like everyone else said, you will miss it when it stops. First time I heard “the squeak” I was worried that there was a problem. Then I learned it was “newness”. So when it stops, no more “newness” :(
