If you aren't buying one with a matte dial then you might consider this one from Fred: https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=595481
At least with a tritium dial you get some character in the color. Plus, it hasn't been polished. The one you linked from Bob's has a service dial and hands, making the open 6 and 9 date wheel the only appealing feature. Otherwise you might as well just look for a 16610. |

Bob's has luminova dial and hands that were replaced in a service. Fred's are tritium and original to the watch. Considerable difference in value as a result.
Also, if this is going to be your only Rolex, make it a good one. I'd take Fred's offering over an example like Bob's any day of the week... scratches and all. Polishing kills value to me -- but that's just me. |

P.S. I see there’s a thread today with the OP wearing his 5513 to construction work. |

NP. Absolutely. I had a 16600 SD that I bought new and it looked like it saw a few deployments in sand, mud and saltwater. The key to longevity is keeping the bracelet clean inside the links to minimize wear (it's what many people call "stretch" even though it's just from wear). Don't worry about polishing. Just keep the bracelet clean after getting it dirty/muddy.

I'd buy Fred's over Bob's in a heartbeat. Having it all original is like cherry/icing on top. You'll thank us in the future when tritium Rolex watches value goes through the roof.

If you don’t get a 16800 with a matte dial, I’d recommend getting a 16610.

Pass on the watch from Bob's, you may as well buy a 16610 for what you are getting. The 16800 is/was a blend of modern and vintage subs. You have the modern flare of the sapphire crystal and high beat 3xxx movement with a dash of vintage with the matte dial and tritium markers. Matte dials will carry a premium over the glossy dials. Just do your due diligence and you will be happy.
