Congrats Tom! Black on black, and blacked out inside (and nice black suit, but you need a black shirt too, bud!) as well. Oh wait, is that sheen pretending to be blue when it is not!

I thought this special edition had a smattering of carbonfiber but later noticed it is just a reflection from the speakers!

Tom, I'm surprised yours is RHD. I saw many Continental cars in Tokyo, most of which were LHD. I know they have loads of RHD contis (many get exported to Malaysia for sale), but I'm curious -- are buyers given the choice of RHD and LHD? I wonder how the brands stock their cars? Or rather... why would a native Japanese fellow want to drive a vehicle that is LHD?

This model is not for sale at Jeep dealerships in the American market. Japan and limited countries in Europe only.

You can get the Limited Edition Grand Cherokee here but it is mass produced and nothing limited about them really. You can order one if they don't have it in the showroom.

I wasn't told about this model by the salesman, I just knew about it. So given a choice? I guess I could have been. He never brought these up, I did. He would have been happy to sell me any Cherokee. The one they had in the showroom probably.

This model sold itself. He was just surprised I knew about it and he had to check online if any were still for sale. Then I had to wait about a week for it to come from the mother ship in Tokyo.

Not being Japanese I'm not sure of their preference but these sold out here in less than a month. I got the second to the last one available and there are no more available at dealerships here. All 80 sold.
