What kind of jeans do you wear?

I'm getting older and I can't wear the jeans of my youth anymore. I have always been a Levis kind of guy (505) but just recently bought a pair of Wrangler 13 MWZ. These seem to fit me a bit better.

I'll spend money on nice things but I can't justify spending the high price of some of the fashion jeans out there. Under $50 for me works fine.

What do you wear?

Me as well. I go through jeans pretty quickly and don't want to spend a lot of money on them. The classic fit seem to fit like my old Levi's used to.

Affordable yet modern, but not too trendy. Extremely comfortable due to the stretch material, buy one size smaller in waist.

AG for me. But more like khaki style jeans.

Haven’t worn denim in forever.

And sure fashion jeans cost more. But they also wear better and are far more comfortable imho.

Wranglers after decades of Levi's. The wranglers fit better and wear longer.

Honestly Levi’s quality has diminished over the years. I have Levi’s from 10yrs ago yet to have a single blemish whereas the ones I purchased a few months ago are already torn at the seams.

Nowadays I go mainly for Japanese denim. PRPS commands a high price and some of their styling is on the more ostentatious side, but when you find some of their neutral batches they’re worth every penny.

I unfortunately like the fit and look of expensive jeans.
They wear totally different and am blessed to still be able to pull off slim fit.
Robert Graham for me for dressier wear.
True Religion for casual.

I didn't even know what AG jeans were, I had to google. Banana Republic on sale, CK from Costco when they had them and Levi's 505 from Kohl's with 30% off coupon.

Tried a few different things, levis 501 and 501ct, both as heavy denim as possible. these last forever, have the classic look (I hate skinny jeans) I want and aren't crazyily overpriced.

I don't understand how people can dislike skinny jeans. I'm not saying it needs to be as tight as possible but a decent fit always looks better than baggy and sloppy jeans/pants.

Most of the normal jeans do not accentuate the body very well.

If “slim fit” is skinny, then guilty as charged but they are far from wrapped/painted on me as seems to be inferred regarding this fit.

I agree with you. Nothing looks better than tailored clothing/jeans as opposed to loose, made for many fit. The problem is, and I truly don’t mean this in an insulting way to anyone, majoirtity of the population cannot pull them off. You truly should be slim, to wear slim.

I squat. Not a lot, but enough that skinny / slim fit doesn’t work. Straight fit for me, 7 for All Mankind Standard looks and fits great.

I am married and in my mid 50's. I could care less about accentuating my body with form fitting jeans. I want comfort first, style second. Even my teenage daughters loathe skinny jeans. Just like most fads, they will be gone and forgotten one day.

Skinny jeans aren't a fad, I think your look of skinny jeans and mine aren't the same. You can look sharp and still feel comfortable.

A lot depends on body type/legs as well, so certain style of jeans look a lot better on certain people than on me for example.
