Incoming! BLNR GMT

Just got the call from my AD that my time on the waitlist is over! I've wanted the BLNR for a while (read 2 years) but never really could decide if it would get the wrist time it deserved.

I usually wear AP's, or a YG DD40, but I feel like the BLNR will be an awesome everyday watch that will still feel like I'm wearing a special piece but may be a bit more under the radar then the aforementioned watches.

Anyway, just wanted to share my enthusiasm with you guys and get an idea if anybody else chooses to wear a SS sports watch over a precious metal Rolex or other higher priced watch...I am hoping it doesn't disappoint!!

Congratulations. Great watch. I love mine, and while not as important it does get a lot of compliments.

Thank you, Nairobi! I appreciate you sharing your experience. Do you find yourself choosing it over others in your collection often?

I actually am noticing the same. In 1 week I have receive more compliments than my Date Just that I've used daily for 8 years. (Especially in Vegas at AD's lol)

It’s my go-to watch. Subtle enough to wear with a suit Monday-Friday, but popping enough to wear with a T-shirt and wait for that perfect sunbeam to hit it right and make the blue sing loud to the very heavens!

Now THAT is a description that makes the wait even more enticing!

You’ll love it. I have an AP RO that use to get more wrist time, but there is something special about the BLNR. No disrespect to my RO as I still love it, but I’m two months in with the BLNR and expected by now to be rotating it off the wrist more than I do, but it probably gets 80-90 % of the wrist time out of my whole collection still.

That's incredible; and seems to be a common theme of those who I've talked to about the BLNR. John Mayer reviewed it as one of his favorite watches, and he's got a very serious collection. Thank you for your .02 Baco!

I think the posters are right. I’ve had mine now for ten months and love it more than the day I walked out of the AD with it on!

It’s spectacular, functional, and subtly beautiful. A stunning watch. My modest collection is only four and I wear my BLNR now more than all the others combined. It’s special. You’ll love it more each time you put it on.

that really varies based on location and AD relationship. First time customer w/ no relationship in London is quite different than an established customer at an AD out of the city. So the spread on wait times could vary by years.

I spoke to watches of switzerland in royal exchange and goldsmiths in oxford. Both quoted me a 3 year waiting list, although I didn’t try any harm tactics like “I have cash ready” (if they even work?).

This is crazy especially when there are plenty available online - but do you think the markup is worth it?

I noticed BNLR is no longer on the Rolex website after Baselworld 2018. Is this a sign?

That is fake new. It is on the site though it may not be trivial to get to the configurator to select the Batman/Pepsi/Black bezel.

Crissing my fingers for some stort of "no new BLNR" orders after Basel 2019.

Great watch! SS Rolex has always been my go-to regardless of what higher end watches are in my collection.

Incoming! BLNR GMT

Not sure a Rolex would be "under the radar". I own AP's as well and I would say that way more people seem to take notice of my Rolex's over them. Every jackass on the street can spot a Rolex.

Enjoy the BLNR, it's a great one!
