Help - 5508 James Bond
I have the opportunity to buy this sub. Does everything look okay to you guys? Seller says it’s all original with nothing aftermarket. Also how much is a fair price for something like this? Thanks.

Insert, crown and bracelet is wrong for the 5508. Dial has seen better days and the bezel looks surprisingly well preserved in comparison with the dial. Id stay away from the watch unless you are looking for a project to restore it to its glorydays.
But be prepared to invest some serious amount of time and funds if you choose to restore it. |

I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure that the minute hand should reach the minute track. So at the least the minute hand has been replaced.

The case has obviously been polished - that much wear to the dial and a perfect case .... don't think so. without seeing it in person, I would question the authenticity of the bezel. Need to see the condition of the numbers and pitting on the case and case back.

I figured the case was polished, but thanks for shedding light on the insert. Any idea what this is worth as a project?

As a project it would be worth no more then the parts worth sold seperatly. Check VRM to get a clue of what the parts are worth assuming it is indeed original rolex.

No expert, but hands, crown and bracelet have for sure been changed, case has been recut. I'd run away from this one.
