That’s a well used watch for sure. Lots of great options for seiko bracelet upgrades; check out uncleseiko.com or Strapcode.

I previously owned.....

I've previously owned one of these, it came on a cheap leather strap that I swapped for a Green Nato...... at the time I thought it was a real impressive watch,

5 years on and I now have a Rolex submariner, wearing it I realise that the Seiko was but a stepping stone, I've since moved it on to fund a Rolex Explorer, Id buy another to sell on but in my opinion once you own a Rolex Submariner there's no substitute.

Enjoy your Seiko

This watch and the abuse I put it through has good and bad memories. Not getting rid of it anytime soon. I have purchased other watches but this one is special.

sure and don't get me wrong as I have my Uncles 1950's emperor, again this to me is a very special watch and well worth the paying out on a full service that cost me more that the watch was worth...but its special to me so worth every penny paid to keep it alive.

Good choice
Insert looks great shame it don`t fit a GMT Rolex fanboys would pay a fortune for it

I personally wouldn't replace it unless it is broke. You can adjust the links on it with a pair of needle nose pliers to make it new again.

Bracelet should be here in a day or two. I haven’t worn this watch in years but it is keeping good time and still shines in the dark.

Nice looking piece that's for sure.

I feel like this watch tells a good story (or a few good stories)

What's the reference number on this watch?

Is this an skx009?

I have the black bezel version (SKX 007). The red/blue bezel is the SKX 009, yes.

7S26 is the movement...

Wearing mine now, Japan version (has the "J" suffix after the SKX 007J) and also lists "21 Jewels" under the 200m depth rating.

It is right at home in my collection, which includes Rolex 1680, Tudor 9411 and Speedmaster Mk. II. These are 'nuke-proof', accurate and hold their own against anything out there.

Do you have any idea the years of production on this watch?

I purchased it used from a friend in 2002.
