The Perfect 3 Rolex Collection

Although unplanned and "it just happened that way", I ended up with a AirKing (116900), an Explorer (214270) and a Sea Dweller (116600).

If you folks had to start over, what would be your perfect 3 Rolex watch collection?

I'm thinking....
  1. Explorer or Explorer 2
  2. Dive Watch ( Sub or SD)
  3. Daytona

What do you think?

Well to be fair I traded my black dial daytona for a white dial, but this is close enough...

I with you there on 2 of them (own a 16710 and Hulk), but instead of a Daytona, I'm looking to pickup a YG DD40. Then I'm done...I think.

New to the forum but seen so many nice photos on the hulk ! TO all the hulk owners, can you see yourself wearing the hulk as your everyday watch? I have yet to see the hulk in person and was wondering whether its a watch that would match just as well as the classic SS Sub. Thanks!

Lol. I assumed this was, “If you could walk into a fully stocked AD, and grab three different watches, which ones would you take?”

I can never decide these sort of questions. I know I'd have a Day-Date 118238, but other than that I'm not sure. I've never had a Daytona and have never been keen on them but I'd like to try one to see if I change my mind. I'd also like a Submariner Date again, perhaps a 116613LB.

I have the perfect collection.

Explorer 2 polar
GMT BLNR
DJ41 Silver, Smooth, Jubilee

Really, it’s hard to beat that. I might add the new Pepsi if I can get my hands on one.

1. Explorer / Datejust / Day-Date
2. Sub / GMT
3. Daytona

I think any 1 + 2 + 3 is a good trio. Where is "upgrade" is the metal the watch is made of.

Like my trio now: 16570 Polar, 116613LB, 114060 but have done the land, sea air thing in the past: 1675 BLRO, 5513, 16520 which was a nice set. I will probably add the 216710 BLRO at some point and drop one of the Subs.
