Rubber bracelet for 37mm Royal Oak
I've seen many people who have bought the rubber bracelet for their 41mm RO or for the ROO. I'm getting the 15450 with ruthenium dial in a few months and all your posts got me thinking maybe I should get a black rubber strap for it. I was quoted around $1500 at the boutique. Does anyone have this for their 37mm RO? What do you think about it, do you think it's worth it?
I think my main concern about getting it is that a big part of getting the RO is the incredible bracelet, so maybe it's a little weird to change it for a rubber one. On the other hand I think maybe it could be nice to have it since it could make the watch be a little bit more under the radar than it would be with the metal bracelet. Would appreciate any advice! |

I have inquired about ordering a rubber strap for my 15450 and I was told by the local APSC that AP currently does NOT offer a rubber strap for the 37mm references. They will however, make a custom crocodile strap for the 15450.
I would love to acquire a blue rubber strap from the boutique you spoke to, if it's true that they can order it in for you. Pls let me know. Thanks.

I agree! I have access to YG plots and a YG deployant buckle so it's just a matter of finding the correct rubber strap for it.

I just measured the plots on my 26300 ROC and they measure 3.5mm wide x 8.5mm long. The integrated plots on the bracelet of my 15450 measure 3.25mm wide and 6.5mm long so the plots on the 39mm ROC will not fit. Hmmm.

Oh that’s interesting. I assumed the strap from the 37mm offshore would fit and when I asked about it over email they just gave me the quote, but now your comment is making me think maybe they got confused or didn’t check that that strap would actually work on my watch. I can send you the contact details of the person I’ve been dealing with for my order if you want though! |

Looks like I’m not alone. I have an incoming 15450 Blue (first AP) this September and I always thought that a rubber strap would be practical for my line of work.
Consulted the AP boutique in Singapore and was told that there’s no rubber conversion kit for the 37mm- the only conversion kit would be the (calf) leather one which retails at approximately SG$2k+. Tried looking high and low on the net and couldn’t find a rubber strap for 37mm. The plan is to get the conversion kit (without the strap and buckle) and look for a strap maker to custom a leather one for the incoming. Let me know if there’s rubber alternatives out there! |
