Delayed gratification...

Did you ever craved for a certain watch knowing that you have to wait a few years before you will get it? In the past year I purchased a 41 TT DJ & a sub. Im craving for a 36 WG DD & theres no chance ill get one in the near future (Even if ill get permission from the treasurer its really not in our top priority). Am I alone in this hunger game?

I have to save for the things I buy.

I don't believe in debt.

I think it’s only natural to wish for things that are currently a bit out of reach. It’s what motivates.

I believe in this, but waiting and saving and planning for months, not years, that's why I don't encourage waiting on potentially endless lists any more, just keep saving and buy at the best price you can.

It's easy to get lost in this hobby.

Just take a step back and look at those two amazing watches you own. And let the DD come to you when the time is right. The key is appreciating what you have.

You probably will always crave something more... As soon as I was able to talk the CEO into letting me purchase a Daytona White Dial, I wanted something else.

I did have to remind myself that I probably should wait a couple of years to ask for another one or at least buy her something first...

I figured the Daytona was a grail watch, but it still is only one time piece. You always like to have variety...

Please don't get indebted to purchase a LUXURY watch. As others said, better save and buy when it makes sense...

Waiting and saving gives you a feel of achievement when you eventually buy it. However, if you can afford what you want now and its not going to impact your priorities then life is too short and I'm one of those guys that hate waiting.

I don't believe in borrowing money for a watch though. However I will use the banks money to make me more money whenever I can. :)

I always want a Ferarri, but i know I can use the money to make MORE money. If you can't afford it, then my advice is do your homework to make a stream of cash flow, then you can buy all the luxury items you desire.
