Does my bum look big in this......

Sorry guys - usually, I am a decisive sort who can work out what he needs. However I am In a pickle.

I’ve tried on my mates Daytona which I personally love. But depending on which angle it looks great or too small (to me).

What do you think? I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I appreciate more experienced watch buffs opinions.

For what it’s worth, I love it and it’s fantastic and I know that is what matters, bu I haven’t bought it yet and would appreciate the opinions.

Looks great to me. Love mine as I typically go larger as a bigger guy but just the right size imo.

Looks perfectly normal to me. The thin lugs are deceiving when looking at it yourself.

I think it looks OK, but when I first put it on I do think I can see too much of my wrist, but then after a while it looks fine.

The issue is Neil, I have a round wrist. When I try larger it hangs over. This does not but the obvious downside is the bracelet on show from up high.

There is no easy answer. But I personally prefer the Daytona look. Am not a fan of watches taking the entire wrist up....

My wrist is quite flat so it accentuates the wrist space, but on you not so much and I wouldn't let that stop you getting this watch at all.

I’m exactly the same with this reference ... I always end up in the same place and pass. I just can’t pull the trigger on it.

I think it looks perfect on you. I have 6.5" wrists and I have found that every single watch I put on looks big in mind, and I have owned up to the DSSD. Although the DSSD looks big because of the thickness and not so much the size. But when I ask someone else for their opinion, they say they look fine. And they are not just humoring me. Its all in how you wear it. I say go for it. It is a beautiful watch.

I get why you think it’s too small, given the pictures. However, it still looks great on you! I swing from a 36 to 42mm and I think they all look good in their own way. Maybe try on a modern ExII polar. They are slightly bigger, fairly flat and the polar dial makes it wear larger.

The only way to get a larger Daytona somewhat similar to that would be to buy one in white gold on an Oyster bracelet. The case is slightly larger and the WG bezel makes it look larger. But, there's an obvious price difference.

The watch is the perfect size, the Goldilocks size in my opinion, not too big, nor too small, and it looks great on your wrist.

I'm 6'4", 8' wrists, and I love my Daytona, and it wears perfectly, wouldn't want it any bigger, 40mm stays right in the middle of the fashion lane, and thank Gawd not a dinner plate on your arm.

To put into context Steve, my speedy 60th is longer lug to lug I think, and therefore takes up a little more real estate on the wrist.

I think the D500-c is lovely. I’m very smitten..

That's interesting re comparison lug-lug with the Speedy 60th but I think the 60th is a little deceptive in that it looks smaller than it is. Looks like you have decided to go for Daytona which I think is a great decision

I'd say it's a perfect fit! I also think that even if you are thinking it's a tad on the smaller side, that'd be ok. My rational is that it's great to have a slightly smaller piece for more formal / incognito type situations. My 116500 fits perfectly under every dress shirt sleeve I own. MY GMT BLNR does too, but my 126600's a not go, and I suspect my new Hulk will struggle a bit there as well. Just too thick. That Daytona looks great on you.
