Man...I love these type of pics. Amazing how close you get...heck, you demonstrate how much 'slop' there is in the text on a dial...something obviously the eye can't capture. Send more when you get a chance...I can't stop looking! Cheers.

Thanks and please don't call me JJ.

Here is the setup with my Nikon CoolPix 8700 on a tripod.

1" from the object.

The result.

A cropped out part of the pic.

My apologies Jocke, I thought it was JJ Irani posting the pictures. I was looking at the watch instead of the member name. I am truly sorry. I appreciate you following up on the technical photography information.

Thank you Jocke. I always wondered how it was done.

I bought a Sony 10.1MP camera last week:
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1215217299947

I have been trying to get some macro shots, and I can get pretty tight, but not at all to the quality you can get with your setup.

Are there any settings such as the ISO, zoom rate, etc that you use with all cameras for macros?

Again, I'm a big fan of your work, WELL DONE!
