Bracelet for my dads 1019

Hey all,

I am planning to wear my father's old 1019 Milgauss to my wedding this summer. The rivet bracelet is trashed and I'm afraid I'll loose the watch. I'd like to get a modern solid link bracelet for it - what bracelet and end pieces would I need to make that work?

I'm new here so forgive me if this seems like an easy one...

A 78360 solid link bracelet with 358 end links would be correct but you will pay a hefty sum for it. Depending on when the wedding is, you may be able to have your original bracelet restored for a fraction of the price of a new solid bracelet.

Thats a huge help - thank you! Now, the more critical part is where to find such a thing. Are there well regarded vendors that would have that setup in used but decent condition? I know who to trust for cameras and lenses, but not watches unfortunately...

I’ve just sold a 1979 78360. They are out there. Endlinks maybe harder to find, but you can compromise on exact fit by finding similar sized ones. Try contacting Springer on here. He’s got an incredible vintage knowledge and quite possibly parts you’re looking for.

The solid link 78360 takes 558 endlinks, the 258 and 358 endlinks are for the folded 7836 bracelet.

I am not sure what endlinks the Milgauss should have, if the old one has 80, 280 or 380 then you need 580 endlinks with the 78360. (Notice the pattern?)

That is what was recommended to me as well, 580/78360, (from members here on the board) to complete my father's 1019 as well.

Michael Young is the go-to bracelet restoration magician I see referenced here quite regularly.

I replaced the 280 end links with 580s on my 7836 as they fit the case much better. As shown above 78360/580s will also work.
