Which LV Pocket Organizer in Epi

So, I’m close to pulling a trigger on LV pocket organizer in Epi Leather. Out of 2 pics below, which one would you choose?

Thanks

That first one honestly looks like something you'd find on Canal St.

I'd have to agree with Laszlo. #1 looks as if it's right off Canal St haaaa!!

The logo in #1 is too big for me. If you want the logo a little more visible, I think this is a nice design in taiga

Right!!

Anyone who knows LV knows Epi, you don't need a giant logo to let everyone know what kind of wallet it is. The leather/pattern alone is all you need.

I'm actually surprised LV would even release that.

I would buy a Montblanc if they have the same size.

Be aware the images have been enhanced on the LV site IRL the contrast is not as pronounced and quite subtle, ok 1 will never be as subtle as 2 but neither are loud!

1

2.

I like either so OP I would go with what you prefer!

Thanks for reply and I appreciate all the feedback!
That’s my fear is that I can’t really tell how #1 would look and if it’s really obvious because of the size of the LV emblem.

When in doubt, #2 is classic. Probably what will work best for your desires. Of course you can further personalize it with color stripes, your initials, etc.

I have a bunch of LV stuff, but especially for men I prefer the understated look. Even in those "subdued" pics, #1 still screams LV LV LV!

#1 has a more 'youthful' styling, whereas #2 is understated. Whichever fits your lifestyle and wardrobe is my pick.

2. Not as loud and as others have mentioned it's a classic design.

As a side note, I'm not sure if you've ever seen and felt Epi before in person, but it's not like 'traditional' leather. Just making sure you're aware if you're picking this up online sight unseen.

I agree 100%. I have a Taiga Pocket Organiser and my wife has Epi. Taiga has a soft supple feel and is much more streamlined in the pocket. The Epi is very thick and hard to the touch. I find that my Taiga is almost the same thickness with two cards and my license as my wife's Epi when it is empty.

Yeah, I'm a huge fan of Valextra stuff, so Vuitton's Taiga naturally fits into what I like as well. I could honestly replace every leather accessory I own from those two. It's a timeless appearance, very durable, hides scuffs well and looks so nice in darker colors due to the contrast it creates with its design. I really want a Taiga Porte Documents Business PM, but can't justify it right now https://us.louisvuitton.com/eng-us/p...-013312#M30638

I definitely mentioned what I did about the Epi, as Vuitton's stock pictures don't do a good job illustrating most of their items. Some guys think they will love Epi, but absolutely HATE it in person, due to its.....shall we say 'plasticky' feel and appearance? It's incredibly misleading though, because I've seen women's Epi bags, 20 years old, that look freaking fantastic, it wears amazing.

I think you'd really like their "Utah" leather. Grabbed this in brown, significantly cheaper than taurillon

Definitely another good one! I actually saw that one, but the inside pocket design (at least online) is completely different than the other pocket organizers, therefore it's a no go for me. The dark brown Ombre also looks incredible.

Honestly, it kind of annoys me the 'wrap' LV gets for being over the top with some of its stuff, and the LV monogram etc. They put out some really cool stuff (especially for guys) if you delve through their catalog and look at all they have to offer.

How do you like the dual vertical slots?

I like the Utah but, like the OP, think I may prefer the horizontal slots on the other side.

In your opinion Is Taiga leather better than Epi from Durability standpoint? Whatever I get would be my one and only everyday use wallet. Thanks

Taiga wears quickly I have a few. Epi truly lasts forever. It’s amazing. Neither is supple, Epi has a nice hand though. It’s special.

The Utah is fantastic, supple leather. But not as contemporary as the other two.

2. In all honesty I'd choose the one with no branding. But in this case 2 is better
