datejust 41 - fluted or smooth ?
I was looking at this watch with a blue face - lovely!!
The fluted looks smarter but also more flash so slightly more self-conscious on holiday but better at work :) I wonder, does the fluted bezel get scratched, or perhaps another question, does it show scratches ? One of the issues I have with smooth bezel watches is how scratched they get so quickly What do you guys think ? |

if money isn't the issue get the fluted , doesn't show scratches as easily.

I am in the market for a DJ as well. Definitely fluted.
Smooth looks too plain for me. |

I've had both.....and like them both equally. To me, the smooth bezel looks cleaner and more modern. The fluted is more traditional, more 'bling' and , thus, a bit more glamorous.
Can't go wrong with either. |

I agree with this comment. I like them both but for a daily driver I prefer the simpler more sporty asthetic of the smooth bezel and oyster bracelet. If it’s in rotation then I’d go fluted and jubilee and the best answer of all is BOTH! Follow my watches on Instagram @vintagearmadillo |

That is the greatest thing about the DJ .. You can mix it up, and you have several dial options to add to make the watch as unique as possible

pretty decisive. I agree with peterskinner
not sure about jubilee bracelet with the fluted bezel (or any bezel). I think the smooth one balances it out nicely |

The fluted doesn’t show ANY scratches. My wife’s is 3 years old and looks great. The way it’s made is that it hides everything. Like the jubilee bracelet. I owned a dj41 for 5 months before flipping it for a djii because I wanted something a little bigger. I can tell you other then the clasp it looked brand new. Now the oyster bracelet with the polished center links. Don’t stare at it too hard or it will scratch lol. But I think the oyster looks slightly better. If you get fluted and jubilee your watch will look new forever. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Fluted, definitely.
When I decided on the DJ41, I spent a long time looking at both. No offense to the smooth, they are beautiful watches, but to me, the smooth just seemed... incomplete. |

Fluted. Looks better in my opinion and yes it'll show far less scratches.

Every time you see a Rolex clock at the airport it’s always fluted.
