Love at first sight

Hi guys,

Like many newcomers I've been browsing this site for a while now but wanted to wait until I got very own Rolex before posting. Happy to say that after months of saving and driving my girlfriend mental watching Youtube reviews/unboxings, I finally pulled the trigger on a Datejust 41, fluted bezel and jubilee bracelet combo.

Everything about it to me is perfect and honestly I don't think I'll ever tire of looking at that dial. The way that it changes colours depending on the light is absolutely mesmerizing.

Ps, you all seem like such a friendly bunch compared to some other forum members out there, makes sharing something that's very special to me much less daunting.

Rock on with your classy classic choice in Dubai. It will be a low-key standout for all the right reasons.

Congrats, love the DJ41 on jubilee. Still can't decide on blue vs. rhodium dial and fluted vs. smooth bezel.

I went back and forth for a while when deciding what to get as my first Swiss piece. First it was the Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra James Bond edition, but as I started reading more about watches I began to lean towards the crown (Ben Clymer’s article about his exclusive tour in Geneva is what really tipped me over the edge) only to be met with another dilemma.

Oyster + smooth or jubilee + fluted? Hopped on TRF to see that others have been asking themselves the same question. There were a mixed bag of opinions of course but the argument that the latter is the quintessential Datejust resonated with me and is what I wanted deep down anyway - which is what matters ultimately.

Judging by everyone’s reaction I made the right choice and have ya’ll to thank for it!

I went back and forth for quite sometime when I was deciding what to get as my first Swiss piece. Initially it was the Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Spectre edition, but the more I read up about watches the more I began to lean towards the crown (Ben Clymer's article on his exclusive tour in Geneva is what sealed the deal) only to find myself faced with another dilemma.

Oyster + smooth or jubilee + fluted?

Hopped on TRF to see that it was a popular talking point. Obviously there was a mixed bag of opinions but the argument that the latter is the quintessential Datejust resonated with me the most and is what I wanted deep down anyway. So, here I am and judging by the reactions I've received it was the right choice and I have ya'll to thank for it :)
