I was looking forward to photos of Richard Milhous myself. I'm personally more of a Canon guy, fwiw. Also diverging from the current reign to join the mirror-less contingent.

I figured with cameras and Rolex there would be mention of Leica....though I'm not a Camera guy so please forgive my ignorance to the topic.

Little old Leica X1 and my BLNR !
Nowadays my X1 is gathering dust and I'm in love with my latest acquisition, a Fuji X100F Bad picture taken with the iPhone 7 Plus ...

But on the Leica vs. Rolex thing, at least the Rolex will retain it's value and possibly will increase. I'm a Leica fan but not at those prices. I find myself quite comfortable with my Fujis and no longer use my M4 (I'm kinda over film). Now, Leica glass on the other hand... |

You couldn't be more correct, Sir ! I'm blown away by the X100F by the way ! Too bad my watches, particularly my BLNR and LVc don't benefit from it's Macro capabilities since the X100 Series, including "F" versions, are known for very soft pictures at close distances with high aperture So for Macro shots of my watches, I use either my iPhone 7 Plus (terrific camera for a smart phone indeed ) and the "Pseudo" Leica D-Lux 4. My Leica X1 also sucks when it comes to Macro Minimum Focus distances However, the picture below I used the X100F. JPEG, 1/30, f4.0, ISO 800, 0EV, 6000x4000, no post processing and I really liked the result (especially the Navitimer Bronze color tone from the dial)

I don't find the RX100 quite as enjoyable to use, although it's packed with features and technology. |

Nikon is very nice indeed, but I always thought of Rolex being associated with a Leica M and a Summilux lens. I don't have that, but I'm sure there are some TRF folks with those. Cheers!

Leica M10 + 50mm f1.4 Summilux-M should be a 15K combo but thank God, not followed by a "blessed waiting list" like some Rolex SS watches...
