Bidding up to $1775.00 right now with 9 bidders. I really can't understand how people don't do their research, and will just start bidding on something like this. Especially with the seller having zero feedback and only has been a member of Ebay since July 16, 2018? Only 2 days? Can't get much more obvious with the red flags than that!
I wonder what exactly happens with sales like this that actually end and get completed? Do buyers have any type of protection or recourse through Ebay? IIRC, Ebay has up to a $50K protection for vehicle purchases. I'm not sure about jewelry or other items though. |

Looking at the feedback history, you could be right! In the beginning, people were bidding with lower feedback numbers. Just today, there were a couple of bidders with 230 and 886 positive feedback. Those could either be the suckers they're looking for, or maybe they started using their "good" accounts to bid it up. These ripoff people probably do the same thing with any product or item that has a demand, like the ham radios you mentioned. Sad.

Local pick-up only from a zero transaction seller would be an ideal opportunity for the armed robbery of a cash buyer.

Gone. I'll have to find my intended mild amusement elsewhere.
