Triple Digit Temperatures Cant Wear A Watch

I manage high end luxury vacation rental homes in California wine country so im not always in a nice temperature controlled office. I sometimes have to go into the field and endure these triple digit temperatures while inspecting home exteriors, garages, pools, cabanas, etc
Does anyone else hate wearing their watch in the sweltering heat? On my sweaty arm the watch constantly rotates on my wrist (normally a pretty tight fit when dry)
Its just sticky and wet and not comfortable at all. As much as I love wearing watches, I just cant do it on hot days so my watches stay home.

I’m with Gus. Would prefer bracelet over leather - or a strap, especially in hot climates.

I have rubber on my Cartier Santos and its even slipperier than the oyster bracelet on my sub. Maybe I just sweat too much haha

Far more breathability with the bracelet than a solid rubber strap.

I guess it’s pretty much unavoidable. It doesn’t bother me though l. I just give the watch a nice rinse when I get back inside.

Tighten up your bracelet, I work in the same heat not tot far from you, and if anything my bracelet is a bit too tight in the heat.

I have never had any issues in Arizona during the summer and we practically have months of triple digit days.

TN here.

While today was very spring like, it's been a hot and muggy summer.

When it is very hot, then a bracelet is a must as it breaths better than rubber. I prefer to wear a watch when it’s very hot as opposed to very cold.

If I’m working outside and it’s that hot, I too, can’t wear a watch. I was just gardening the other day (99 degrees) and I had a constant drip from my hat and my finger tips.
On a normal day, it’s not a problem because most of us go from an air conditioned house to an air conditioned car.

TN here as well. I find I use the extra 5mm on the Osyter a LOT in the summer, and man is it a beautiful thing to have.

That said, never too hot for a bracelet watch.

I would suggest giving a titanium piece a look. It just seems to diffuse heat a little (ok, a lot) better than steel. My PO is super comfortable regardless of the weather.

I live in Key West, FL, the southernmost city in the continental US. It’s hot pretty much...always here.

During these summer months, my PP Aquanaut 5167a gets a majority of the wrist time. It’s lightweight, thin, and the tropical stap is insanely comfortable. Even more than my 5711, which wears well in the heat in its own right.

It's not ideal in the hot temperatures but I wear a bracelet when it's wet or hot.

You guys all need to just come and hang at my house in the summer. It's dynamite here in The Great Lakes. I'm sofa-surfing at your houses all winter, though

I put my 114060 on an Everest strap, seems comfortable in the summer heat.

I wear SS oyster bracelet no matter how hot it is. We've been getting 100+ temps here in TX recently and I may have to expand the easy link or glidelock a bit but other than that, no issue.

I've never been in a situation where, due to the weather, my watch is my main concern :)

If I am that hot outside, I'll be complaining about something else wellllllllll before i mention how my watch feels.

That said, I have been wearing an OP39 instead of a SD43 and it has been a breeze. Great suggestion somewhere for a PP5167. That was #1 most comfortable watch ever when sized (cut) correctly.

It's triple digit weather here in the desert, and will be for several more weeks.

You will be without a watch for much of the year if that's your cut-off.

Another vote for a rubber strap like Everest. Since it doesn’t allow rotating around the springbars it remains centered on wrist even when wet.
