Whats the Problem here?

I recently purchased a Rolex a little over a month ago.
My First . 1675 RootBeer Circa 1970.
I had been using a handmade strap for it but wanted the Jubilee.
So recently picked up the Two Tone Jubilee for it.
Since I have put it on I have been wearing it very proudly.
I mean I worked my behind off and was able to be in the position to reward myself with it.
My problem is I see I get some looks from people and its not a nice look.
I feel that people see it and automatically Judge me.
Its Bull###t.
I mean its pretty bad when you have to ask yourself " Should I were it or not"?
Maybe it has to do with my age or maybe its my attire, it could be a lot of things.
Don't get mad at me that I made the right choices that paved the way for me to be in MY position.
Did it all on my own.
To tell you the truth I don't see as many Rolexs where I live as I thought I would and believe me Ive been looking.
Does this sound about right.

You are being overly self conscious. As long as you enjoy the watch, the heck with what others think. BTW, a nice cotton polo shirt for someone your age might work better than the T shirts, unless you are bumming around the house.

I completely agree with this. Who gives a crap what anyone else thinks? Enjoy your watch, it looks awesome.

By the way, I understand your feelings of self consciousness, I went through the same thing when I bought my Rolex. It will pass though. I doubt that as many people notice it as you think.

Very true, almost nobody notices. I never care, regardless. We work hard, many of us saved to buy what we wanted, i don't care what others think about it. I don't voice my opinion on their car choices.

It looks great, it isn't as if it is 'blinggy' and full of jewels..

I don't think you have anything to worry about at all.

I see nothing wrong with you wearing your watch with these items.

A pix of YOUR favourite attire would help?

Exactly.

Do you really care what other people think?

If so, why?

F em. Get past it. Your watch, your life, enjoy both. No need to waste time on what others think and do. Reality is, in today's society, most people are so self absorbed they do not notice what others are doing and for sure do not notice what watch you are wearing. Usually have their faces planted on their phones.

I would not be so paranoid. Just wear it, enjoy it and don't care what others think.

You're old enough not to care what other people think.

You should also know that you can't know what other people are thinking unless you ask.

If you think that you can, then you need to talk to your MD.

I personally love your watch, as a WIS, I might even stare a little; of course in a good way.

It's only perception that people stare at your watch, nobody cares and most would not recognise yours anyway.

(After seeing your avatar what a disappointment to see the hairy arm )

I think the two tone jubilee is quintessential Rolex. Even when I see these styles of band not Rolex the first thing I think is Rolex. This is going to get you some attention......but guess what you earned it and it's a great looking watch so enjoy it. Don't let what is more than likely jealousy ruin the experience for you.
