Incoming OP 36mm blue

Hello all,

Visited the AD today and purchased a blue dial 36mm Oyster Perpetual, and I'm in love. I've been doing a lot of work recently, as well as investing, and I thought that since my 18th is coming up I ought to put the money towards something I can keep forever.

I'll be picking it up at the start of October for my birthday, so cannot wait!

I wonder if they'll make the 39mm OP with the Arabic numerals dial?

It will never happen because it would then just be a 36 mm Explorer I.

Congratulations. It is one of the best dials of reference 116000, in addition to."steel" and "white".

It has been a great choice.

Love it!

Interesting that the Rolex website shows this watch with the old (skinny) handset. I think yours looks much better.

Thanks! Please could you explain to me when this change was made? I didn’t notice myself, just assumed it was a bit different in person!

I believe the new, wider hands were used starting in 2014, but for some reason the Rolex website has always shown the blue OP36 with the old hands. I'm guessing it's an oversight on Rolex's part; their website isn't known for being up to date.

sorry for the double post, you will love those larger hands and the blue dial bursts in so many different lights! You will love the oyster bracelet, the finishing and feel is on another level! Anyways, congratulations again, you're getting a great stealthy sporty/dressy watch!
