The worst that happened to me is I lost to uncles and a future father in law our son was in hospital for three weeks touch and go but pulled through and my ill health has got worse. but on the good side me and my fiancee have stood by one another and are looking forward to what is hopefully a better 2009.

Jim, it WILL get better. Katrina was a belly flop for me but in the end it all worked out for the best.

The best: Twin grandsons born in June.
The worst: Mom died two weeks before the grandsons were born.
The reality: Losing my mom still hurts but every minute spent with the grandsons is a tremendous offset.

Best & worse for 2008 was the same road trip to California this summer.
Wife & I took daughter & her best friend on a 12 day road trip to Disneyland, San Diego, San Francisco.
While at D land, hotel was broken into ( well inside job, I've posted about this earlier).
This was the low. The theft, the lack of concern by the hotel, the treatment we got from management etc etc etc was horrible.

The high, was getting inked at High Voltage Tattoo ( better known as LA Ink), and actually seeing myself on TV. ( was in the background, but got about 6 seconds of air time) LOL

The worst: I didn't win the lottery.

The best: I didn't lose any money buying losing lottery tickets.

My investments took a nose dive.

My bank remained in business.

2008 was a very good year for us........except for the terrible hit poor Ronan took with his damn Ulcerative Colitis.

Hope he gets better soon.....at least he seems to be responding well to the medication.....although even that has its ups and downs.
