I contacted the seller with a message saying $325 was optimistic for a lady's fake Rolex.
He responded that he didn't know anything about watches, and that it had been given to him. I questioned his approach, asking how he'd determined a value for the auction if he knew nothing about the watch, and in light of the fact that he'd done no research on the watch. I then reported it, and it is now gone. By the way, many/most of the fakes and scams located by the fellows in Oz are actually US listings, located through searches on ebay.au (Australia). If I see one of the auctions located by the fellows in Oz, but posted by a USA seller (determined by the item location, under the cost of postage), I copy the item number, go to ebay.com (USA), enter the item number in the search bar, and then report it through ebay.com. It may be my imagination, but it seems reports sent to the eBay country of origin for each specific auction work better. |
