After being on the waiting list for 9 months I found out last week that they are no longer a Rolex ad - anyone else seen ad losing Rolex? Now I need to start calling round again very frustrating!!

With the down turn of the high street and the short supply of Rolex watch’s I believe many Rolex AD will close in the coming years.

I agree. What's the point of selling something you can't get in to sell.

I used to always pop into my AD for a chat and to see what they have in stock.
I just dont bother anymore as there is never anything to buy. |

If we start losing ad’s does this mean Rolex will be using other avenues to sell watches? Will this allow them to control the market - asking for proof if identity etc?

My local AD lost their Rolex line a couple of moths ago. I have bought 4 from them. No hope of getting a Pepsi now.

A few years ago there was a big AD culling.
The shops use the Rolex brand status as a draw, but if they have none of the popular models to display, they might be more trouble than they’re worth. Empty cases don’t pay the bills.

And I recall that the culling we heard about a few years ago centered around Rolex's requirement for a certain minimum case space dedicated to their watches and signage. If the dealer if forced to set aside a large case display that remains empty, I would say it is a good business decision to look for another product to sell.
