Doubt Rolex GMT Master II 116710LN

Hi,

Does anyone know if it's possible to change the black ceramic bezel to the pepsi ceramic bezel in steel (with original rolex parts)? I know the second timezone hand in green probably looks weird with the pepsi bezel.

Anyone upgraded a LN to become a BLRN?

Advices are welcomed :)

Well you would not the parts from Rolex themselves that's for sure to do that mod, plus changing ceramic inserts are not a DIY job.

Thank you :) I was not planing to sort the parts and DIY because it could get quite an expensive job .

My idea is to send it to Rolex to perform this if the price is reasonable. I was curious to know your feedbacks and if someone already did to see a picture and have an idea of the price.

This is not a service that Rolex will provide, this will not happen.

The pepsi bezel is supplied by exchange. That means the dealer/authorised repairer must send to Rolex and Rolex (local country) must send the damaged bezel to Geneva to receive a new one.

The price is 50% higher if you don't provide the exchange; ie 'it fell off'...

Not to mention you have to prove you actually own a BLRO.

That would be an ugly frankenwatch with a green hand. I can almost guarantee you will find it near impossible to source a BLRO spare bezel from Rolex. Whether it can even fit, no one knows for sure.

That sounds like a big and expensive project to avoid having a frankenwatch. Next time I visit my AD, I'm just going to ask for a quote for a dial, hand and bezel change out of curiosity before dropping the idea.

I just found one in chrono24 from someone that had the same idea but since it's done custom parts, probably not sourced from Rolex, the quality might be doubtful. (I can not post the link because I'm quite new to the group)

Rolex requires the BLRO to be sent into an official RSC for service on broken or damaged ceramic inserts. They won't send BLRO inserts to ADs even if they have an in-house watchmaker and active parts account. There's literally zero chance you can get that insert for your LN.

Anything you've seen on Chrono24 is aftermarket, not original.

Just being blunt so your expectations are realistic on this idea.

Enjoy the LN. It's a great watch.
