If someone were considering becoming a one watch person, do you think a SkyDweller would be a good choice?

No... For me, a one and only would be a dive watch. As much as I enjoy the SkyD, it is a wear to the office watch, and something else goes on my wrist after hours

And to explain why sky dweller can get old if you wear it everyday. For the daily one need something simple solid straightforward

Yes. Right now, and for a while, I'll be a one watch guy: a 1675 GMT. The Sky D would be a first class choice. All watches are designed to be worn as the "one watch." I used to wear a Reverso as my one watch, and that's rather dressy.

There is only one requirement for a one and only watch. You can’t own any others. Other than that there are no rules. A SkyD would do the job just fine!

I think a Skydweller would be a spectacular choice for a one-only watch. Two time zones, annual calendar, months and days, 330 feet under water (I dive). I would go with SS white Dial, otherwise it is a blingapotimus.

Tied for first is the DSSD 2nd Generation (126660) Blue for sheer legibility and toughness (my daily).

Second, BLRO in WG. Tied for third,, 42mm Explorer II Polar and SD 43.

I’m voting no bc its big, flashy, and pretty dressy. I dont like it all with casual clothes. BUT its a great piece!

Any watch can be the only watch. But for all intents and purposes, the SkyD has all the functions that can be used around the world and around the year.

If you got a big wrist that can handle it comfortably, then yeah, I suppose I could see that. I personally wouldn't want a Sky D as my one and only though.

It’s my only watch for now. I also work longer hours than most so it’s not like I’m going to golf course at 4pm on Tuesday with it. I would probably feel lot more awkward wearing a hulk or something as only watch at work setting. Unless you are basically going T-shirt and shorts, you can get use it for all occasions.

I could easily see the Skydweller as a one and only but, right now, for me, I'd go with the SD43. Doesn't get more versatile than that.

SkyD make a perfect daily watch and it has all the essential functions for timing and traveling. You can wear to the office and drinks after work.

Definitely can be one and only. I have a white dial and it can easily be worn as sporty or dressed up... also has dual time and date. I don't know why it couldn't be! If you can get one at retail go for it! Especially the white dial it's Magnificat!

A sort of timing function is more useful to me on a daily basis than a GMT or calendar showing the month. So I will always opt for a diver or chrono than any other complication.

I wouldn't consider a Skydweller as a one watch proposition.
And i only consider a 39mm original Omega Co-axial Railmaster on a strap as a one watch possibility.
Naturally opinions will vary greatly on this matter.

Regardless i have tried to go with one watch and failed miserably.
Just like i have different motor vehicles, motorcycles, boats, hammers, screwdrivers, chissels, kitchen knives etc, etc.
In this life of affluence, IMO it's not possible to only have one of most things.
