15202ST to wear or not to wear?

Hi all

I owned a 15300ST which I sold today. In my safe there is a 15202ST sitting with stickers on it. Totally unworn.

I tend to wear it and remove the stickers. My "personal watch advisor" thinks this is not a good idea, because I will never ever get one with stickers still in place and I will lose a lot of value.

I really love the 15202ST, so I Need to decide - and I already decided to wear it. But first I like to ask you guys.

How much value will I lose in your opinion?
What would you do?

Happy Monday!

What nonsense this "personal watch advisor" is talking?

Unless you plan to become a watch dealer, absolutely wear the watch and enjoy it! Also this particular model of AP happens to hold value well. If you have bought it at MSRP, you will likely make money instead if you decided one day to sell it.

Watches are meant to be worn and enjoy.

I'd wear it (at least on days when the risk of physical damage is low). Otherwise, what's really the point?

I'm in agreement! I buy watches to wear them otherwise what's the point of buying them! You might as well buy a painting and hang it on your wall.

#justsaying :)

You only live once, if you like this watch wear it and be proud of your achievement.

There is a joy in pulling out the stickers, some kind of unique, especially with the highly sought after watches.

These watches are in high demand you will always sell it at a good price, especially that AP has increased recently the prices.

I have ordered one and can’t wait to put it on my wrist,

Hope you do the right choice. Let us know.

Fire your wrist advisor. That is a made up position. Based on the info provided it appears you are holding this watch as some sort of investment. I would sell it now while the market is hot and lock in your gains. It does not appear to be a watch you want to wear.

Totally agreed...not as if its a great investment piece...

This is at least one downside to the current environment - and i dont mean that as critical to the OP.

The fact that this sort of thought may naturally occur to someone over this watch is sad to me.

You say that Tom, but I bet half our friends and family would refer to us lot as just that disdainfully to their friends.

OP wear the watch, you know that's what they are there for, just like you can't wear stocks on your wrist. Everything in its place.

None of my friends or family are foolish enough to spend this much on watches haha clearly I’m the only lunatic in my circle.

I used to be that way about my cars. Now I drive them instead of letting them sit around as garage queens.

The watch is supposed to be worn, isn’t it? If you don’t wear it, why did you buy it? Eventually you will regret it if you sell it no matter how much profit you get. IMO...
