Incoming 116610LV

Ok so over the past few weeks I have gone through a major overhaul of my collection. I finally came to the realization that I was buying watches as they came available to me even if they weren’t at the top of my list because I was so against paying over MSRP. I made the tough decision to thin the heard and then DavidSW got me squared away with with something I have had my eye on for awhile. So yes, I paid a hefty premium which I had been strongly against but I had an epiphany and feel 100% at peace with it. I realized that the opportunity cost of not having it on my wrist and wasting my time shmoozing ADs was far greater than just paying up for what I wanted. Yes the market could correct and maybe I could buy it for less later. If so who cares. I bought it to wear and if a few grand on paper is going to cause me that much anguish if the valuation softens I shouldn’t be buying something like this in the first place. Also, what if the market doesn’t pull back and they discontinue when launching new movement sub? Maybe just a small chance but not one I was willing to take. Overall DavidSW was extremely easy to work with and delivered a brand new stickers on 116610lv in a day when I haven’t seen one in over a year. Now to go get it sized....

Looks great, I have one on its way to me next week. Hummed and hawed about it for a while, the green dial drew me in eventually.

I paid a premium for my LV but that was forgotten once it was on my wrist.

Awesome. Forgot how good they look new. Mine has been on the wrist for fours years with little rotation to the GMT and it still looks pretty good. So wear it like crazy.

Congratulations on a rather special watch. I paid the grey rate to get mine. I will never do it again but I am delighted that I did for this particular watch. Of course I would have prefered to buy from an AD but that's essentially fiction for me.
