What is your favorite larger rolex?
As a man with 8 inch wrists i find that the 40m rolex model are in my humble opinion a bit small on me so as my first rolex i would like to get something a bit larger. So from the datejust 41 and up what model would u recommend as a first Rolex?

Skydweller.. large enough but not outrageous and straddles both sporty and formal situations equally well..

Not a fan of big watches, but the DSSD & new SD are ok

The New Sea Dweller. Large at 43m but not as chunky compared to the DSSD. IMO, generally speaking, the thicker the watch, the more goofy/less elegant it looks.

My wrist is between 7.25 and 7.5, I have a few 40mm watches, but did want something bigger in the mix as well. After trying on everything previously mentioned, I went with this. Honestly, for 8, I think it would be perfect:

Just over 8" wrist here and the SD43 is perfect. DSSD is OK as well but a bit too tall for my liking (and I don't care for the 'original gas...' text.)

For a dress watch I think the Datejust II would look great on you. For sport either the DSSD or SD43 would work really well

Sea-Dweller (SD43) and/or Sky-Dweller.
I find both of them very comfortable on my 7.5”

As I rotate between my DSSD and Sky, the sky feels alot better. The DSSD is large and bulky but still amazing.

SD43 is perfect sized Sub for the girthier wristed man. The DJ41 on an 8in wrist looks and feels like a DJ36 would look on a 7in wrist lol So my recommendations are SD43 for sporty/dive option, Skydweller/DJ41 for dressier option. Still wanting my BLNR though... |
