what can you get from ebay for $200

Ebay lately is proving to be bizarre! some really horrible frankenwatches, poor repainted dials and other monsters selling for more than many original pristine watches
so what can you buy for $200 from ebay?

how about this one.. a first generation seamaster calender from 1950's. this one was the first watch that omega offered with a date function.. will go well with my gold capped one.

Nice mamas. It seems that some vintage Omegas can be had for a song.

Padi, this one is a calibre 355 one.. my gold capped one is slightly older with 353. Most of the original ones i have seen on ebay recently whilst i have been in the market have gone from $300 - 580. A friend of mine bought a similar piece for $325 recently.. again all original.
There are a couple more on ebay at the moment but they are repainted jobs and a lot more expensive!!! this is what i dont understand.. my gold capped one cost $500 all original in good condition, and yet some of the redials and frankenwatch ones on ebay at the moment are being sold for $1000 !!!! still a lot of good deals to be had on ebay, as long as you know hwat you are doing.

Again a great find, vintage watches in general are very much underrated.Yes you have to know what you are doing,Omega a fine brand for anyone to start a collection.Going to view a collection of Smiths military watches over the weekend,if price is right might be tempted, the price I quoted was full retail shop price, trade quite a bit less.
