Is this look big on me?

I have a smaller wrist 6.5” to be exact, recently purchased SkyD for my dad but he declined. I put it up FS but after trying it on, I started to like the dial/complication/design of the watch. However, the reason I sold my last SubC was the size, I strongly believe 40mm is max out for me. Daytona fit me like a glove and my GMT seem a tad big already. Is this seem too big on my wrist guys/gals???

IMHO it does look big, however, wrist shots tend to look bigger.

If you like it, that's all that matters!
I tried one on the other day from a fellow trf-er. I'd wear it!

It’s up to you, but in my opinion it’s a tad too large.

Technically, I think yes. Too big. But, if you love it and want to rock it. Go ahead and live it up! At the end of the day you need to make you happy. All the best either way!

It's too big for you...

I have 8.25 inch wrists and 8.5" when I get warmer and it's just about right for me

Need to see from different perspective. It doesn’t look big to the point anyone would think twice about it. If you comes to terms with that it’s a bigger watch and shouldn’t feel like your smaller ones you will be less self conscious. I have to willfully break the tendency to apply the same standards to all watches which isn’t fair.

Looks like you wear way above that big wristbone. I'd say it looks substantial, a little large but not too. White dial pics also look larger too. My 42 Polar on my 7.25 flat wrist looks large but feels perfect so I'd say if it doesn't feel too big go with it. BTW awesome piece !

This looks a little big to me but if you can handle the weigh then more power to you.

Is this look big on me?

I have to agree with some of the other comments that it’s too big.

I’m really surprised at the difference in some of the wrist shot photos that get posted on this forum. Someone will say they have a 6.5” wrist and a watch will look huge on them and then someone else will post a shot of the same piece saying they have the same wrist measurement, and it looks totally fine?!

Can wrist ‘shape’ honestly make that much of a difference, or are certain owners being on the generous side when quoting their wrist size? Doesn’t make sense.

OP, I mean no offence but I’ve got a 6.75”ish wrist, and whilst I know that’s marginally different to yours, I know that Skydweller would not look anything like that on my wrist.

Yes they can differ. I have slightly less then 7" wrist but very flat. An almost flat 2.5" part so lot's of watches work. Seen from the side my wrist are very small so a very thick watch would like a bit off.

My dad on the other hand has quite large wrist but almost perfectly round which makes for quite a different fit

I think it absolutely might be possibly too big but that's based entirely on how I think a watch should fit. I know it's a cliche, but it really is your call...but yeah, too big.

I think a watch should not just squeak by the rule of keeping the lugs within the profile of the wrist but show at least a hint of bracelet. I like a bracelet or strap to flow out of the lugs, not take a sharp 90 degree turn south.

Hang on for second cliche: If you have to ask, you know it's probably too big.

If I had your wrist I'd own a dozen vintage Rolexes in 34-36mm for the cost of one new SkyD.

A few examples of my idea of the right fit:

Those watches look spot on, on your wrist.

I’m not a huge Omega fan but I came across that older Seamaster model last month when a work friend of mine purchased a mint example from a dealer. Beautiful watch and it is one of the best fitting watches I’ve ever tried on. His might be a slightly different variation to yours.

Here’s a pic of it on my 6.75” wrist haha

I think you've got the mid-size 36mm Mid-size there maybe, mine is the Titanium 41mm.

Based on the one picture provided, looks okay.

Keep in mind there are other variables that affect how a watch fits aside from wrist size; for example, the wrist shape (flat or round), depth of watch case back, weight/height of watch. So, while your GMT may be (or feel) a bit big on your wrist, the Skydweller might just fit you.

In that pic, looks a tad bit large for your wrist to me. It only matters if it looks and feels right to you when you wear it.

I have skinny wrists and my Sky-Dweller feels prominent, but I love it.

How does it sit on the wrist? Walk around with it and see how you feel about it.

Gotta say it tickles me when folks talk about a 42mm watch being too big.

At 60mm my Panerai Egiziano is not for the faint of heart lol

If Arnie can pull it off so can I lol

Now stop whining and pick up that SD

Most 44mm AP's wear like 48's so even these dwarf the vast majority of Rolex models.

I've got used to wearing most any size. If I like the watch and it pushes my buttons it goes on my wrist

Nothing wrong with mixing it up.

And to the OP, no, I think the SD looks fine on your wrist.

How do YOU feel about it?

That's pretty much all that matters. I had the TT white dial for about a week, and didn't care for the look on ME. Went back to my Bluesy. But anything any of us have to say is a reflection of our own taste. Today I'm wearing a gold tone 45 mm Seiko "Gold Turtle" which by most accounts isn't a watch they would wear, but I love mine.

Wear anything you feel like wearing.

I too have a 6.5” wrist and I wear up to 44.
I recently tried on a Skydweller and no doubt I would wear it.
