Submariner Bezel Lock Issues

Has anyone who owns a submariner with ceramic Bezel had issues with rotating?

Has it ever become hard to rotate...or even temporarily lock as a result of dust/dirt?

Thanks for replies in advance.

Run it under hot water and use a soft toothbrush with Dawn dish soap to clean under the bezel.

Had the same issue with my Black Bay. I soaked it in warm soapy water for maybe 10 min, and it freed easily. My issue was salt from having it in the ocean, but dirt can do the same thing

Had this issue with my 16610. Took it to my watchmaker...he removed the bezel, gave it a cleaning and lubricated it with fomblin grease. Has been perfect for the couple years since.

As suggested, give it a good cleaning or take it to your AD for a cleaning. If you are using it in any dirty environments such as dirt, dust, sea water, etc., rinse it off with hot water when done. I always rinse my Sub after 'dirty' use to help prevent any build up under the bezel. I also typically take mine to my AD once a month for a good steam cleaning. Gives me a chance to look at all the shiny new Rolex's in the case :)

I had one stick due to the high amount of salt in the Gulf of Mexico, what I found Works was letting it soak in water and then taking a work glove which makes the grip easier and twisting, in my case I could literally hear the sand being pushed out. So if yours just has a little something that should do the trick

Watch obviously needs a good warm bath to rinse out the dirt that might be stuck underneath, if that doesn't work my other suggestion is that you take it to your AD.

Yes - happens all the time with my BLNR - it’s my daily driver and gets worn in all manner of environments - just clean it as suggested

Why bother with work glove. Just go with Channellock Pliers #1 watchmaker tool
Don't forget to turn it clockwise.
