Quite a collectable watch now especially the vintage ones with the nipple markers.

Hi, Peter!

Indeed, and all of the "Rootbeer" GMT's are gaining in collector status, since they are no longer being manufactured!

sorry, Allan, but the Root Beer is my least favorite GMT. I tried one on a while ago and Arleen and I both agreed it just didn't do anything for either of us.

But each to his own. I know you love yours and that's all that counts. Just don't wear that ugly piece of sh!t in my presence.

Heh heh...When we meet (which will happen one day for sure), I will proudly wear it and flash it in your legal-eagle face for good measure, Ed!

Bet you would like my Champagne-dialed DJ, though.

While you're at it, Allan, make sure you're dressed in orange.

Yes not a popular watch the Rootbeer in its time but not many of them around so like you say quite collectable now.And last time I met Ed in London he was wearing a nice orange stripe shirt, Ed is a big fan of orange,I believe secretly he really loves all things Orange.

ORANGE..WHO MENTIONED ORANGE!!!

Don't you guys know that ORANGE is "theeee" new color!

Doxa guys bleed orange!

As to the "Poop GMT", I also had a chance to buy one last year for a song. It was in mint condition and I took it home to show the wife. She took one look, crinkled up her nose and said " When are you ever going to wear that ugly brown watch!" I tried the "It's a collector piece" and she replied, "It's a PIECE all right but collector wasn't what I was going to say".

I brought it back to the AD.. (Ok, I kind of thought it look cool too!)

As ED, ahh implied, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and If you love it Allen, I am happy for you. Enjoy it!

I think it's purely a case of you like it or you don't. I think the general consensus is it isn't a very popular GMT model. Sorry, but I'm just the messenger so don't shoot me!!!!

I do love those GMT's though.
