Louis Vuitton Grey Market Sellers Online?

Hi Guys and Gals,
Apologies for the non watch related topic, but does anyone know if there is any genuine LV grey market sellers out there online.
Thanks

Lots of them. Selling used stuff for the most part. LV is supposed to destroy everything that isn't sold, but this does not happen.

I know the Store in Helsinki for example has a "backdoor" which provides some Greys in Finland with brand new LV stuff...

Too many to start listing...

Google around, and I'm sure you'll find one fairly close even. Plenty out there.

Ebay also works well, as long as you do a little homework. Bought lots of older vintage LV on ebay.

i doubt it, considering LV doesnt have sales and burns the stuff that doesn't sell. If its authentic, its probably stolen. Even if it goes out the back door, how do they account for the sale if it was supposed to be destroyed? That is theft.

AFAIK LV has had zero sales in 164 years and you cant haggle in the store for a discount.

Used stuff, absolutely, but new stuff i would question a lot more.

You may get lucky and find a never used piece or two at some of the high end handbag resale sites or eBay. But a grey market on LV is a mirage. Heck Walmart has some on their website, used.

Their controls are much tighter than Rolex when it comes to how they handle inventory. As far as I understand it LV owns every LV store and boutique that is in a retailer. We buy my wife’s LV at Saks Fifth Avenue. The LV store inside of Saks is space that LV leases from them and the employees are LV employees. No AD’s or individual distribution partners.

Selling LV is always a challenge too, outside of eBay. My wife has a couple of LV bags she doesn’t carry anymore and she was looking to sell. The resale sites (Real, Real etc) offer you about 50% of msrp. And the retail side is often close to msrp if piece is in good shape. Cannot take that haircut. She is goin to try eBay.

I looked into this two years ago. LV is the most faked merchandise in the world. LV never has sales and they own all the stores and all the product. I think backdoor sales are a myth to push high quality fakes.

The purse forum is a good place to start if you want to find trusted sellers for LV. But you're not getting grey products, you're getting used products. FWIW, I found it easier, and not much more expensive, just to buy LV from LV,

For all of the hip hop fans on the forum; Does anyone remember Mix-A-Lot's cut, "Swap Meet Louie"?

True.

I only buy some vintage items or not available anymore items used.

Yoogis is probably the best out there. The wife buys and sells there all the time.

Fashionphile is a good place too, they pay better on the resale

Nice to read this post about LV because I have just brought my Wife a shoulder handbag from the LV website. It came beautifully packed with sample bottles of their perfume.
Being not into handbags I did not realise that LV had such prestige nor that they were so expensive to buy!
It’s just that my Wife and her friend do talk about them.
Could have brought myself a pair of Edward Green boots for the winter with lots of dosh to spare!
PS Think I will buy these boots in any case!

I like what LV is doing. No discounts, no sale, online, no AD's. Everything under their own control. Rolex can learn a thing or two.

It protects the brand and perceived value that’s for sure.

Some are. They have leather as well. But not at the $1000ish Neverfull bag price range. I too tad shocked that a $1000 bag was canvas.

Me too. I told my wife to only buy the brown monogram pattern LV as resale is the best. This control LV keeps allows people to sell and upgrade without taking a huge bath of you sell on your own.

Correct. We just go right to Saks. My wife had sold a couple to friends via Facebook and it works great. They know her so they know they are real. And she gets more than selling to a resale site and doesn’t have to mess with eBay. I read an article at one point that stated that about 95% of the LV on the market is fake. I don’t know if I would believe that. May be a scare tactic the other way to get people to stores.

There is no LV gray market that I know of, but there is a preowned market and I think the real, real is your best bet. They have Rolex and other fine watches but I’d be cautious with those.

i am going to post a few links to Ebay stores that i follow for NWT LV stuff.

https://www.ebay.com/sch/angeljaxx/m...1&_ipg=&_from=

https://www.ebay.com/sch/luxuriaco/m...I&rt=nc&_dmd=2

https://www.ebay.com/sch/luxurious_m...=&rt=nc&_dmd=2

https://www.ebay.com/sch/cdosquared/...1&_ipg=&_from=

the last guy has nothing up right now but he often has nice stuff up.

I cannot vouch for them of course but i am an experienced LV buyer and i did buy a shirt from that first store 2 years ago and it was great. new with tags and consistent with the rest of my LV garb. I also bought a shirt from the last ebay store and it was legit.

I have been faked on ebay or at a high end consignment store and always able to get my full money back.

They are canvas, but they can take a hell of a lot of abuse. My wife beats the crap out of her Neverfull and it still looks brand new.

As long as it's not discontinued :)

+1 on Fashionphile. Actually found a "vintage" i was looking for and it's as good as new. better than described.

Also, Van Maur and some other department stores have events when they sell pre-owned/refurbished ones, but a small selection.

Save yourself the hassle/risk of buying a fake and just buy from the boutique.

Thanks for all the info, I bought my wife her first brand new piece at LV Store recently (Neverfull MM) and thought it would be nice to get her some more.
Reading through the posts has been great, and I think used LV 10+ years old is the sweet spot for me to get best bang for buck. I actually like the patina on pieces that age. Unless of course something pops up in local classifieds full papers etc.
Thanks guys!
