A Power Reserve Question

I own a two month old Exp II. Twice since I have owned it which includes just this morning, I woke up to find it dead. I think I live a pretty normal lifestyle. How much wrist and arm motion is required to keep the watch going? Assuming it has a 48 hr reserve, it must have been more than 50% unwound when I took it off the night before. Do many of you wind your watches each morning out of habit?

Good idea to do a full wind when you set the time. Walking should keep it topped up between winds so long as you swing your arm (not carrying a briefcase etc).

I don’t take the watch off at night either but not everyone likes that.

I don't wear watch while exercising. Most of my job at the desk. So not much arm moision. Like you if I don't wind watch fully it'll stop way short of 48 hours. However, it is easy to check your power reserve. Wind watch fully, around 40-50 full revolutions and check the time when you done. Check the time when it's stopped. I never get more then 46.5 hours of power reserve from ether of my watches. I wind watch only if it's stopped.

It takes the same 650 turns of the wrist while wearing your watch as it does on a winder to keep the watch wind static.

If you are not particularly active, but you do wear your watch, wind the watch once a week and, between the power your activity puts in, and the occasional full wind, should keep it ticking.

A watch on your wrist, or even on a winder, will eventually stop if it does not get it's 650 turns.

I'll usually wind my Expll 25 turns when I reset it to wear. When I first got it I wound it 40 turns at set it down, it ran for 48hrs. 40mins.
