Submariner 116610 LVC keep or let go?

My new s/s BLRO GMT is due in this week.Whilst i can fund the new watch outright my question is should I keep the LVC or bank the money?Selling it may be a move i could well regret.
LVC’s seem to be enjoying increasing values every month.

I’d sell the LVC and get an LV so you’d have one maxicase and one five digit for diversity.

Congrats on the incoming! The SS BLRO will dominate wrist time, it has for me.

What else is in your collection? Having two SS Rolex is a nice option. I have the LVc, and it gets wrist time on weekends, particularly beach days.

This.

To me, an LVc will be a perfect go-to for beach/pool days.

I think you’ll regret letting go of the Lvc. Id suggest getting the BLRO, and taking your time with your decision. Lvc values don’t seem to be going down any time soon.

How much do you wear your LVc now? Do you own any other divers?

It’s your call, but I would want a more subtle Rolex if I only had those two models. Something in black rather than the candy colors. That’s just my $.02

Thank you nye21a!
Rest of my ensemble-Submariner LN,GMT BLNR,GMT CHNR.The LVC does add a dash of Rolex Green!
Perhaps you are right stating that the BLRO dominates wrist time but I’m sure some variation is welcome.

I would keep it...but then again, I'm all about having a dash of green in the collection. Or two.

Same here, plus it is very hard to replace over here, sell the LN if you must.

This is EASY for me! I’d sell the Sub bc with adding the BLRO you’ll have 3 black dials. Keep the LV for some pop and fun!

Letting my LVc go was more of a matter of practicality and wrist time. I didn’t want to lock the LVc up in the safe to only wear it occasionally. I can only have one alpha Rolex dive watch in my collection as 5 watches are my max and give me enough versatilities. It’s a good time to cash out of the LVc and that doesn’t hurt providing you do it for the right reasons. I think we are at the top of the value mark with the LVc at $12.5 USD for new. Pre owned is at $11.5 USD for a 1-2 year old full box set.
I like to have some sentimental value in my watches but it has to make sense in the collection.

In my personal experience, I have bought and sold 9 watches. In every case, I thought it was a good idea at the time. While I have never repurchased an identical watch that I have previously sold, I can tell you that there is not one watch that I have sold that I would not like to currently have in my collection. I would sit on the watch until you are 100% sure of what you would want to do.

If you don't really need the cash, I'd keep it for the time being. They are relatively difficult to get. I wouldn't focus too much on what you could get out of it. I think the prices stainless steel Rolex watches are commanding at the moment will normalize. I just think it's a great piece that is unique in the Rolex lineup.

Keep it until you know it's over, you can always sell it quite easily.

With a SS BLRO, I'd find time for the LVc, but no time for the BLNR.
