Mini-turtle incoming

Happy Friday.... just received my SRPC37J1 “mini turtle” in the mail today, and have to say it is pretty nice on first impressions. At less than $300, it’s a heck of a value. As a long time fan of inexpensive Seiko divers , especially the SKX007, this is a fantastic addition. I can see this replacing the niche the 007 filled since it is being discontinued (as goes the rumor). It wears about the same and is very no-nonesense. I am impressed with the strap, which is very comfortable. I have a box full of plastic/rubber straps from other divers that are gathering dust, but this one is an improvement. If I could change two things they would be to get rid of the cyclops (makes viewing the date from some angles impossible) and move the crown to 4 o’clock (though it’s fine where it is and doesn’t dig into wrist).
If you are a SKX007 (or O09 or 011 etc) fan, I think you will love this watch.

Here’s a few pics:

I had the blue version and I liked it. It actually seemed like it was more refined than the Turtle. I did remove my cyclops also.

Congrats

I heated it up directly with a fireplace lighter and bumped it off with a razor blade. https://www.instagram.com/p/Bh1jI6fH...-by=toxicnatos

Congratulations. The Seiko divers are about as cool as they come and for the money they may represent the best value. Enjoy.
