OEM Tang V OEM Deployant Buckle
For the Paneristi on board what is your take on the OEM Tang Buckle V OEM Deployant Buckle? I rotate between an OEM Kevlar & Ted Su Kevlar Strap because the Deployant Buckle annoys my wrist, it's almost too constricting (I like to wear my watch snug with the wrist bone). Is the OEM Tang Buckle more comfortable than the OEM Deployant?
PS - I was thinking of purchasing a strap from Strap-Works, anyone deal with them in the past? |

I think the tang straps are more comfortable. The release buttons on the deployant buckle sometimes dig into my wrist.

I tend to deffo favor the Tang on Panerai, as them seem to compliment the weight of the watch better. But if you try to switch the strap and put the short side at 6 it tends to make them much more comfortable as that is how it is intended to be worn with a deployant.
As for SW, Jonathan is first class and his straps are great bang for the buck.

Tang all the way !! Deployant is nice but tang looks and wears better.
As an example, the 104 should have come out with a OEM 24/24 with a pre-V style Panerai buckle in 24mm,not 22mm like the use on the historic Luminors.Length should be at least 80/125,not the rediculous 75/115 they use. Also black alligator with ecru stitching, not all black strap. |

You know, as a bit of a newbie to PANERAI I kinda like the way the deployant fits. I've noticed with some OEM straps they're either a bit tight or a bit loose. The deployant seems to give me the right fit.
I don't notice this on other strap makers. I do have to say that the BIG exception to my wierd wrist is this one. It's perfect! Wonder if the buckle makes the difference?? |
