The normal price here is about AUD 30k from grey market dealers.

If you mean from an AD, the wait is 8 years and none of them are adding to their lists. The lists closed shortly after the daytona was released at basalworld a couple of years ago.

Unfortunately Australia is probably one of the worst countries on earth for getting a daytona at a good price such as MSRP. You'd have a far better chance in HK.

0% chance for one at MSRP from a HK AD.

Yup- the ADs even quote you Gray market pricing. One sent me 175,000HKD for a Daytona.

Ha what? Is this a real question? You'd be lucky to get any sport model at MSRP unless you plan to stay here for 2+ months.

Lol forget about buying a simple black sub/gmt in a short time without relationship in Australia let alone a Daytona - UNLESS you're able to bundle something significant

Good luck sir, Australia is a beautiful country and I won’t be wasting too much time in ADs if I were you.

Australia is probably one of the worst countries to buy a Rolex.

If you buy from a local gray dealer your going to get taken for a ride. Better to give yourself a holiday to HK or the US or something and buy there.

If you buy a couple of platinum day dates, they might miraculously find you one out the back...

I know you didn't post this question from Australia...

If this watch was available anywhere in the world "at normal price" for people that just happened blow in the door, the doors would be torn of their hinges with people trying to get in the door to hand their cash over.

I bought my first Rolex in 1986 and several since then.
I have never seen a SS Daytona in any AD in this country.

I think you're clueless about the current Rolex SS sport models, especially Daytona C. Good luck though in your quest of searching.

Small market share due to smaller population + tendency to stay away from PM models (not sure why, but even with the disposable income of a 1st world nation you don’t see as many PM watches on wrists as u see in Asia) = 0% chance
