im 22, a student and have 2 toywatches.

1. daytona lookalike, "mop" and fake diamond dial, with the all clear plastic bracelet.
2. sub lookalike, see through blue plastic all round

the cost a couple hundred quid each.

the point is, i got a tt datejust new a year ago as a present. i also have a tag aquaracer.

when im messing about on with the guys, or out and no needing to be flash as no student who doesnt earn their own money should be, i chuck one on as often id wear my tag.

f*ck all students give a toss whether someones wearing a roly or a toywatch. my parents have plenty, iv got a sweet job lined up next year with big money but right now i dont see the need to care whether im casually wearing a toyW or my tag. obv the roly is called for on certain occasions (when the rents are round) but i find it tacky wearing a gold watch round at my age regardlesss of family wealth.

admittedly it is a fashion fad, not about movments etc. its a 200 euro swatch swatch essentially but who cares.

my only concern is what my next will be..

new aquatimer doesnt look as pretty as the old one which provided the same functionality. also bit of a copy of the Blancpain FF bezel.

pam104/164/240 all v nice but is THAT just a fad??

or the gmt IIc, but then am i not just going to have the same watch as everyone else in the office. not original but a nice watch. following the crowd?

need some inspiration i guess..

I just bought one. It's a fun watch. I love the aqua color so I think it's cute... it matches my Sub almost exactly (still better than a fake Rolex)!!!!

You can see it third from left in my signature photo.

Darn "celeb" fads. Nice looking watches, but IHMO, overpriced. Reminds me of the craze over the "original" Swatch (now the "Core Collection.") I think that I will stick with my Luminox Series 3000 and Casio G-Shocks.

I bought my mom a toywatch for christmas 2y ago and it's a nice watch, quite trendy. the only issue is that they have a problem with their plastic links breaking off..

I can see that... they don't seem terribly strong.
It's funny to wear it after the SD... it weighs almost nothing so it feels like I have a naked wrist!
