Rhodium / White OP39 or EXP I to join the Sub?

Still doing some research / gathering advice for my 30th / wedding watch

Currently have a SubC date

Two watches stand out when I’m looking within my budget of $7000.00 CAD

OP39 (can get for a decent deal of 6300 all in since it’s a little more readily available by my AD)

Explorer II (7500 plus tax. I’d have to throw in a little more of my own coin)

OP is a beautiful watch, I think would add the most contrast to the sub and versatility to the collection. But I’d like to have something that doesn’t look out of place on a NATO (I’m a big tool watch guy)

Explorer is a fantastic piece, sporty tool watch but a little out of budget and I feel like it’s black dial and sporty look would be a little similar to the SubC date in the collection

Both have their pros and cons

I’ve decided I want to buy new and these are the only two I have my eye on relatively within (OP IS BELOW) my budget. Finding it hard to make the call!

What would you do!?

Thanks for the advice thus far! You are all fine people!

I can’t fathom if you were truly only going to get one more, that you wouldn’t get the polar.

Have you considered the Milguass? The blue one is pretty cool.

The explorer 1 dial is amazing! Looks gloss black in some light and matte black in others. And the lume cant be beat

I have the Sub... and thinking of adding the White OP to go along with my Sub....I think the White OP makes a nice contrast to a Sub

I’ve got the Exp 214270 and my plan is to next add a Sub no date and then the white OP.

Have both Exp1 Mk2 & OP39W. Explorer all day if I could only have one.

EXP I with lum numbers. Ultimate all around no frills tool watch that has all the right features. OP is great but it is a little watered down with the basic bracelet.

To me the white OP is not as versatile of a piece as the Exp is. Also with the Exp you’re getting superior lume and easy link. However it is true that the Sub and the Exp do cover some of the same bases.

I guess if I thought I was going to stop at two, I might go for the white OP given I already owned a Sub. If I thought I could add a third someday, I’d be more inclined to go with the Exp.
