Just picked up my Tudor BB GMT...

Just picked up my Tudor BB GMT from Emerson Haig, Lakeside, Essex - they managed to get one for me just before the Christmas closure at Tudor - one of the last watch deliveries...Many thanks to the team there for doing their best on this for me, especially Sam Journet that kept me updated with timeframes and what was happening - being open, honest and frank about these watches (a refreshing change from some other ADs I have used in the past)..😀👍

The watch itself is amazing - very easy to wear and with the chamfers at the bottom edge making it look visually thinner than it actually measures - a very clever idea from Tudor there.👍

Pictures below show the GMT within the rest of my collection (resting on my Tudor scarf from Basel a few years ago): BB Blue (ETA), BB Black (ETA), BB GMT, BB36 (ETA), my wife's BB36 (ETA)....Just the BB58 to go now, which I am waiting on. 😉

My Tudor collection also complements my Rolex collection nicely - and as Rolex SA was actually one of my clients four years ago, I know what goes into getting these watches being made..

Thank you, yep it is - and despite being the thickest watch out of all my Tudors, wears almost identical to my other BB ETAs, and is comfortable on the wrist (I have a 7 inch wrist).

Congrats - could you share your thoughts on the rivet bracelet?

Thank you :-)

Yep, for me, the rivet bracket is fine - it feels/seems, to me, to help offset the weight of the watch, and the thickness, by being a little lighter and thinner than the Oyster style bracelets on my other BBs (although it's still just as strong) - allowing the GMT to wear/feel better/lighter on my 7inch wrist than my BB Blue, or indeed my BB Black - I think Tudor were very clever here when considering what kind of bracket to use with this to offset the watch thickness (like the chamfered undersides).

Something else to consider, is that I do have watches with rivet bracelets in my collection, so am used to this type of construction - but I would imagine if you have not worn this type of bracelet before, you might get the impression it's a bit thin and not as strong as an Oyster version...however it's just as capable and strong as the Oyster...

Looking at mine - I would think that it is possible to put the Oyster style bracelet on the GMT, but that this would increase the weight...

Hope this helps :-)

Ended up being just over 3 months, and my AD has said that they will now struggle to get anymore in until Feb 2019...

Congrats and great timing for Christmas. Agreed on the chamfers but my harrods BB doesn’t wear much thicker if any.

Great watches. Enjoy
