Panerai Tubes?
A friend of mine gave me a leather strap for my PAM 111. It's a pre-vendome with the classic buckle. Well, the buckle is pre-vendome the strap is Circa (first time to use this word, I hope I used it correctly) 2000.
Anyway, I replaced the strap and really liked it. The thing is, I forgot to use the metal tubes from the OEM strap. It fits perfectly snug, but should I use the tubes anyway? Would this give any chance to bend the pins or something? I would like to keep it on without the tubes but want to make sure it won't ruin anything else. Pardon my ignorance and thanks in advance. |

The tubes are for preventing the screws from backing out. It won't bend your screws.
You can get some aftermarket tubes. Just go to panerisit.com and go to the "accessories corner"

I'd just get 'em. They are sooo cheap. Imagine the screw falling out and your watch dropping on a ceramic tile floor. bye bye crystal.

I have been warned by others to "NOT" go without the tubes. I just think it is one of those things. Should still fit - need to squeeze probably.
