Steel sport vs 2 tone sport

What are the pro's and con's of both models in:

Durability with other words daily wear think of bracelet stretch scratching etc etc etc
How much more are the servicecosts of a tt in comparison to a ss model?

do you think a tt is worth the extra coin or do you prefer steel?
do you think tt looks maybe a bit ordinary and anti-social as in to blingy?

any other pro's cons? I must admit i love the tt subs however i have a shitload of tattoos and i think it make a horrible sight.. On the other hand i love the simple steel subs maybe even much more.. What would be the better one as a daily watch ?

There's hardly a difference in terms of wear and durability, buy what you like and don't worry about it.

In my view, it really comes down primarily to personal taste. And then to a lesser degree the environment you're wearing the watch in - e.g. some people don't feel comfortable wearing a TT watch at work or even on the street in some cases.

Gold is somewhat less durable than steel, but again I think that your watch is largely as durable as you treat it.

For me personally, I love Stainless Steel watches and will probably never own anything else. My wife loves TT watches and will probably never own anything else.

I am 50/50 about the tt Submariner with black dial. I really like it but i am totally unsure if i like it more than a steel variant, some side of me says no absolutely not other side yes.. And the thing is my tattoos in combination with tt can look as a HUGE turnoff for sure.

It all comes down to what you like, durability would be negligible.

You either like TT or you don’t I find there usually isn’t much in between ... that is until, the CHNR was introduced. This model seeks to have won over a lot of people like me

Damn, you infected me with the CHNR bug.. After a couple of times closely looking to it i think it is an attractive watch…
Crazy how this can sometimes go... I really like it now, at first i liked it but it reminded me just a bit to much on a chocolate and it looked to pinkish to me... But after starting to view more photos of this watch i think in fact it is a super duper cool wristwatch

Yea most likely, i like the tt yg ones also much more in the flesh than on the photo's.. But i won't pay a dime over msrp for the CHNR anyway as i guess it would inflate very rapid ... and i am not in the position to ''play wild'' with money

I think they are totally different and have place in any collection. As a one and only? I think you go SS if you’re a sub. Just slightly more versatile in my opinion. I have a 114060 and have strongly considered adding the TT sub or the TT GMT.

I think this is strongly depending on where you come from, beautifull shots btw.. In my country luxury goods are often associated with a certain type that does shady things and try to ''show off'' there wealth. In my opinion gold can be a little bit more that than steel however steel also is used often for this purpose in my country. In the USA you have a bit different folks and i think it is a bit different however i am not sure about it... It is stupid, i love expensive watches but i do not like their owners often Not cause of the shady background but more the ''showoff my shady background fact''
Tattoos where sort of a passion to me, i really liked tattoos back in the days when it wasnt so popular yet but tattoos+gold make a horrible combination MAYBE or MAYBE not i am unsure

Watch does not define the person.Stereotyping is unfair. You must wear what you are comfortable with, what suits your character and defines YOU.All thats important is your enjoyment .

Depends on which watches you're talking about. The bluesy and the CHNR get me going, while some of the others, while very nice...I just don't make the same connection with. My two cents, YMMV.

Service cost the same except if replacing the bezel or crown ie gold parts.
My TT sub 16613 sits in a safe because I have become scared to scratch it since I scuffed the clasp 1 week after its service.
I wear my steel sub every day.

I love my TTSub. It dresses up and down with ease.

As has been said, I don't think durability is an issue. To be honest I was just starting to become kinda anti two-tone but these SS with RG is several models is beautiful to me

Your sig shows you have a 114060

Get a Bluesy. Iconic watch, Iconic following and arguably the best looking Rolex out there. I've owned all models SS, TT and PM. They are ALL equal in wear as long as you don't bang them up.

Two things. The TT Daytona’s close as it gets to a bargain.
The Bluesy a true classic.

A TT Daytona is great value now considering the crazy SS prices.

In that case i would change my no date for the black dialed tt i think, i love the blue one but it is not my style. I seen the tt black recently in a few AD's and i really liked it, but do i like it more than a steel sub?? i really do not know. I know stereotyping isn't fair but on the other hand we all do that, i am happy to do so aswell cause we are nearly Always right at the end anyway lol.. But yes that type that like to show LOOK ME, I AM SHADY I CAN PAY A 10K WATCH so watch out for me is really ignoring lol..

But than i am confused wether to buy the gmt.2 or the sub in tt yellow gold. I like the gmt master even more in tt i think and gold has no business on a diving watch imo..

Here you are wrong It's the best metal for a diver, it does not corrode. Look at all the old divers made from SS with traces of rust.

But a TT GMT is hard to beat, it makes the regular SS sports looking rather boring

I really like the CHNR:

The photo doesn't show well enough the rose gold hands which work sensationally with the black dial and brown/black ceramic bezel.

I'm a great believer in wearing what you like. From your comments you don't like the tattoo with TT look. If thats the case then you are not going to be happy with a TT.
