Question for Daytona owners

Just curious. How often do you actually use the chronograph function on your watch? I find that I use mine almost on a daily basis.

I usually don't use it, or I leave it running.

I’ve left mine running all the time since picking it up a week ago but may well turn it off as & when.

Pretty much never. I don't have the time to take off my watch unscrew, use the complication, rescrew and put the watch back on. IMO The biggest weakness of Daytonas.....I don't like wearing it with unscrewed pushers either, looks awkward to me. I don't have this problem with my Speedmasters or 5170p but alas.....you don't have the water resistance either. But at least the complications get used.

This was me. But the look of a Daytona on the wrist is what wins you over, not using the complications themselves.

100% agreed, I'm super guilty of loving the looks of the Daytona all the way since the 4 digits till now. Just definitely not with pushers unscrewed. Nice to see you around more these day J.!

Thanks, Sensui. We have been enduring another major Condo renovation - replacing all of our 60 year old sliding glass doors - which has been delayed and is still ongoing. It required a cherry-picker crane to bring the doors into the Condo.

We should have moved into a hotel, but I wanted to micromanage the protection of our floors and furniture. They are almost done.

The WR is really worthless as you cannot change the chronograph under water anyway.

In answer to the question, I use mine timing floor exercises. Have it off my wrist at the time, so no problem with the screw down pushers. Easier and faster than a smart phone timer.

I don't own a daytona but have several speedmasters. Regarding chrono usage, i use it daily to time my espresso extraction and also when cooking.

Yes i know iPhone and siri is a lot easier, but when wearing a chrono i use it.

me too. maybe too much tbh. i get nervous as i have damaged some 7750s in the past with start stop successions

Usually a couple times a day. I either leave the locks unscrewed or loose enough to quickly wheel out and hit the pushers.

I eagerly await mine in black coming this year. I will totally use the Chrono function to count down how much time my kids have to put their jackets and shoes on, get out the door, and buckle themselves up in the car. They only focus when I impose a time constraint!

I don't have a daytona but have another chrono. Never used that function except to check it once in a while to see if it still works. Whenever the need to time anything arises, I just naturally grab my iphone.

I’ve had my 16520 since early October and have used it about 5 times. I don’t leave it running constantly either, as it’s not good for the movement.

As an airline pilot I use it to keep elapsed time of flights (takeoff to landing) or to keep track of my/our breaks. Yes, there’s plenty of other ways to keep track, but since it’s there sometimes I use my Daytona.

I’ve had a gaggle of chronos including three Daytonas and currently a Speedy Pro. I have always used them sparingly, I like the look of a chrongraph more than the function I guess.

I thank Rolex for including screw in pushers- or I'd use it to time everything. I have itchy fingers
