Which platinum watch?

I was lucky to acquire almost every hard to get ss model. I’ve been mesmerized by the platinum Daytona and has been my grail until I recently tried on the platinum DD40 and was equally mesmerized!!

1- which one is more popular?
2- not that I ever buy my watches as investment but which one holds value more?

Any help making the decision is greatly appreciated!
Thank you!

When I think of a platinum Rolex, it’s the DD40 that comes up first.

Having just seen an interview with Roger Federer at the Hopman Cup, he rolled his sleeve up and showed off the Platona. That thing popped like I couldn't believe. WOW

Had each. If I were to do it again I’d go dd40 romans. I’m very pleased with 519 for the pm Daytona

Platinum Daytona first. On down the line add the Platinum DD as well. That’s my plan at least.

Platinum Daytona!!

Platinum Datona gets my vote! Had the opportunity to try one on at an AD and it's quite beautiful in person.

I'm with Jason71 - Daytona first!

The one I tried on at an AD early 2018 was stunning! But I'm not much for DD models so I may be biased.

Had both in hand ...underwhelmed by the plat DD40,smooth bezel perhaps the biggest factor.
Daytona Nespresso ...AWESOME !! the combination of brown and blue ,just perfect.

(The BLNR is upside down in the pic)

I voted DD40 Smooth Bezel.

Bracelet is special, and it's a classic design

Personal taste is always interesting. The smooth bezel on the DD is literally the only reason I’d consider it. If it was offered on my 228235 I wouldn’t have hesitated.

I voted DD. I have 5 Rolexes and many other watches. There are some great and expensive watches that are getting no wrist time. My latest move is to consolidate. Trade 2 or 3 for 1.

Are your watches getting wristtime?

Yes but with varying percentages!
The Pepsi and deep blue get 80% of my wrist time. The rest compete for the other 20

Platinum DayDate 40. You already have 2 x Daytona's. Go for the classic DD40.

IMO the DD with deconstructed romans is the nicest platinum watch in the line up.

I think with your collection that would be the way I’d go.

Perhaps it looks better in person, but I've never cared for the bezel/dial color combo of the Platona

Exactly why I haven't bought one. If I find a ceramic black bezel, I'd have it fitted on a Platona.
