How long should a fully wound unworn watch go?
Hi all
I alternate daily between my 2014 116000 and 2018 114060. When I set the time I usually wind about 30 to 50 times. As i say I wear one one day and the other the next. So the unworn watch is probably not used for 40 hours. They have usually always stooped and need rewinding. Does this sound normal or a bit on the short side I'm terms of how long a wound rolex should last? Thanks |

Well, technically the power reserve is listed at about 48 hours, but in reality, 40 hours is probably not far off. You've got to factor in how much movement your arm is generating while you're wearing the watch...a lot of us (including myself here) don't get the physical activity we need to top off an automatic watch.
So, all things considered, I think you're fine. Unless either watch is exhibiting other signs, such as erratic time keeping. |
